A Pan India Initiative to build awareness on the importance of COVID-19 Vaccination

Mumbai, March 31, 2021 – NephroPlus, India’s largest dialysis care network and a leader in redefining dialysis care in India, is organizing a national education drive on COVID-19 vaccination for dialysis patients across their centers. This initiative is launched to drive awareness about the importance of the COVID-19 vaccination and further guide the patients on the registration process for the vaccine. Dialysis patients are at very high risk of getting affected with COVID-19, as they have very low immunity as compared to healthy individuals. As per a recent manuscript that is being published in the upcoming edition of the reputed International Journal, ‘Kidney International Reports’, COVID-19 prevalence among dialysis patients is about 20 times higher than the healthy population. Around 99% of patients who were admitted to the hospital had to stay for a minimum of 12 days. Mortality amongst those infected was about 23%, and mortality among those > 55 years of age was 3 times higher than those <30 years old.

In 2015, when e-commerce started to boom in India, Bangalore-based entrepreneur Jaideep Kashikar hit upon an idea. The Digital Wave and Need to Sell Online

India’s online grocery market is expected to scale up to $10.5 Billion by 2023, as reported by RedSeer. Also, the growing D2C market of India will be clocking $100 Billion in 5years as reported by Avendus. All this points out to one direction that brands need to establish D2C eCommerce platforms sooner or later.

StartUp Charcha: A New Initiative

Recently, InfoScalez has kick-started a new platform called StartUp Charcha. The program started in the week of International Women’s Day 2021, putting their Startup stories in front of the whole world.


The inaugural season of 6 episodes saw women entrepreneurs from a wider field explaining their journey from scratch to ventures. The program went on not like some conventional interview session type but more of a 1-on-1 conversation focussed on casual lives to technicalities of a startup.

The winning thoroughbred of Kingfisher ULTRA Indian Derby, Immortality, took home a total prize amount of Rs. 91.50 lakhs


Mumbai, March 28, 2021: The Kingfisher ULTRA Indian Derby 2021 was concluded today at the Mahalakshmi Race Course. Over the years, the much awaited racing event on the calendar has gained immense popularity amongst the city’s who’s who. The Kingfisher ULTRA Indian Derby 2021 was home to a line-up of India’s best thoroughbreds.


Immortality took the prime spot from get go and emerged victorious in one of the most awaited events on the Indian racing calendar, The Kingfisher ULTRA Derby. Trained by Pesi Shroff and ridden by Suraj Narredu, rallied towards victory.


Immortality owned by Ms. Ameeta Mehra and Mrs. Liane Luthria took home Rs. 91.50 lakhs of the total prize money and the Trophy from Mr. Kiran Kumar, Chief Sales Officer of United Breweries Limited.


The top three of the Kingfisher Ultra Derby -2021 are:

During my tenure as executive chairman of Tata Sons, it was always my duty and privilege to present India to the global business community as a market of great opportunity and promise, backed by an effective rule of law that is just, equitable and evolved.


At Tata Sons, I have had the opportunity to work with a fantastic team of people from diverse backgrounds in multiple industries and geographies all bound together by a common value system embedded by the founders into the Tata Group. For that opportunity, I shall be eternally grateful.


My aim at Tata, an iconic institution undergoing a generational change in leadership, was to ensure a robust Board driven system of decision making and governance that is larger than any one individual. A key focus was to enable the directors on various Boards to discharge their fiduciary duties without fear or favor, while still ensuring that shareholders views were reflected in strategy and actions. It continues to be my belief that it is by such a model, that one would protect value for all stakeholders in Tata Sons and its various Group companies.


To this end, my performance was reviewed by nearly 50 Independent directors across multiple Tata Boards that I served. Beyond the performance metric that speaks for itself and the documented appreciation for my initiatives, I am humbled by the continued support I have received from my former colleagues and other Board members. All the successes we achieved, was built on the efforts of a very talented team including my executive management team (The GEC), the managers and staff of Tata Sons as well as the management teams in the Tata operating companies supported by their respective Board Members.


Over the last four years, I have had the opportunity to reflect on my actions and on whether I could have handled the generational change in leadership better. In hindsight, while I may have had many imperfections, I have no doubt or erosion of conviction about the direction I chose, the integrity behind my actions and their consequences. Every member of society looks to institutions such as courts to validate and endorse the appropriateness of his or her actions and beliefs. As a minority shareholder of Tata Sons, I am personally disappointed by the outcome of the judgement with respect to our case. Although I will no longer be able to influence the direction of governance of the Tata group directly, I hope that the issues I have raised, will cause deeper reflection and influence individuals concerned to catalyze change. I sleep with a clear conscience.


Life is not always fair, but we are still the lucky ones – I am lucky to have the unwavering support of my family, friends, colleagues - past & present. I am grateful to my legal team that has remained steadfast and committed beyond the call of duty, through this journey.


This is another step in the evolution of life for me and my family. We will celebrate the good times and take the knocks on our chins.
