OYO’s - India’s largest wedding company launches ‘Wz Prime’, an online platform to help wedding banquets across India recover business

Mumbai, 31st March 2021: With gradual unlocks and strengthening consumer confidence, the industry is now witnessing nearly 85% of pre-covid level demand, a positive sign of steady recovery across regions. Additionally, in the post pandemic world, consumers are shifting to digital platforms for their wedding preparations. To further fast track the recovery of the industry with innovative technology, OYO’s, India's largest wedding company has launched its homegrown technology platform, Wz Prime, a tech-product that enables venues owners or banquets to grow their business across India. At present, venue owners can access the Wz Prime platform across 20+ Tier II and III cities including, Gwalior, Ludhiana, Jodhpur, Visakhapatnam, Rajkot, Varanasi, Guwahati, Coimbatore, Amritsar, amongst others.

Essentially, Wz Prime is a product designed to help banquet owners to meet their end-to-end requirements, by providing access to relevant customer inquiries, marketing local venues to target customers, thereby generating more customer visits and lastly, enabling venue owners with the company’s best-in-class banquet management system to effectively manage customer leads, drive higher productivity and increase conversions, ultimately optimising their revenue in the post-pandemic world.  This platform will therefore empower independent or small venue partners with access to relevant customer enquiries for various events including weddings, social, and corporate functions, among others.

While digital disruption is crucial for the industry’s recovery, in traditional industries like the hospitality and weddings sector, educating and enabling convenience and hassle-free digital adoption are factors that will drive higher acceptance for technologies among small and medium sized entrepreneurs. Understanding this straightforward challenge, has built an easy-to-use and mobile-friendly Banquet Management System (BMS) for Wz Prime venue partners. This will allow venue owners access to all banquet-related data such as customer inquiries, booking-related information, event calendar on their mobile handset itself without the requirement to install any special software or app on their phones. Additionally, to drive higher visibility and reach, will market and promote  for Wz Prime venues on the website and mobile app.

Sharing his thoughts on the launch of Wz Prime, Sandeep Lodha, CEO, OYO’s said, “Although the previous year has been a challenging one for the wedding industry, we are seeing steady recovery since November-December 2020. As the country’s largest technology-led wedding company, we are confident that technology was the only way forward to emerge resurgent from the effects of the pandemic. With Wz Prime, we will now enable venue owners, especially independent and local banquet owners a chance to increase visibility for their venues, as well as access higher demand through relevant leads through our platform and Wz Prime’s technology. This tech solution will open doors to small businesses to optimise genuine queries related to venues and maximise revenues during such challenging times. With Wz Prime, local venue owners will benefit from the visibility and higher lead conversions, thereby, helping the industry recover at a faster pace and adopt digital transformation for the years to come. I am also happy to share that within a short span of going live, venue owners across 9+ cities have been quick to embrace the product and witnessing successful lead conversions from the channel.”

Here’s how venue owners can gain access to the ‘Wz Prime’ platform:

  • For exclusive access to ‘Wz Prime’ platform, venue owners can opt for a pre-paid quarterly or annual subscription plan for a minimal fee

  • Venue owners to submit all venue-related details for ‘Wz Prime’ activation

  • Post activation, within 48 hours of the verification processes, vendors will have access to the platform, resulting in an inflow of leads via Banquet Management System, Email and Whatsapp as well as premium positioning of venues on website

To maintain the highest levels of sanitisation, social distancing and hygiene, launched the ‘Wz Safe’ program, implementing a 20+ point checklist across its venues,  enabled LIVE streaming of events and multi-video conferencing for virtual wedding guests, empowered customers with virtual venue recess and digital payments, as well as introduced a slew of all inclusive value packages covering smaller events end-to-end.
