*Mumbai:* A special event promoting women’s health, hygiene and dignity was held in Versova on Thursday to mark International Menstrual Hygiene Day 2026. Reinforcing the vision of a ‘Period Friendly World’, the programme also celebrated the successful 10-year journey of the Digital Sanitary Pad Bank initiative. The event aimed to break the silence and social stigma surrounding menstruation, and encouraged open conversations to eliminate misconceptions and taboos associated with menstrual health. The decade-long celebration was organised under the leadership of Dr. Bharati Lavekar, former BJP MLA from Versova and Chairperson of the *Tee Foundation*.
