World Humanity Commission Awards Certificate Of Appreciation To Kalgidhar Society Baru Sahib For Promoting Lessons Of Humanity

Recognize the human race as one. Lessons of Humanity give us a sense of identity and national pride.

Demonstrating ongoing support and recognition of the valuable contribution and commitment that The Kalgidhar Society makes to humanity irrespective of caste, colour, creed or religion; World Humanity Commission headquartered in New York, USA has awarded a Certificate of Appreciation to this Himachal Pradesh based educational and social development NGO.

The Society has received the Appreciation Certificate for ‘promoting the lessons of Humanity throughout the world’ and the same will be displayed in their various offices. The WHC took an appreciative note of the low-cost values-based education being provided to around 70,000 rural children in North India through 129 Schools (Akal Academies), a large & impactful woman empowerment drive to skill-up 2500 (and growing) rural girls with Teachers Training, consistent humanitarian relief & rehabilitation efforts undertaken by the Society especially during the Kashmir Earthquake in 2005, the Kerala Floods in 2018, the Punjab Floods in 2019 and the recent Free Food distribution to migrant labourers and Sikligars during the COVID lockdown. A unique model of synthesis of modern scientific and spiritual education is imparted to the students regardless of caste, creed, region, religion and social status.

The World Humanity Commission is a New York based organization dedicated to champion the developmental and humanitarian cause, working towards the creation of a safe and better society by promoting humanitarian consciousness and service towards the sustainability of universal peace.

The certificate was announced by Master Onkar Batra, Council of young Ambassadors, India - World Humanity Commission, a child Prodigy himself, who is also the world’s Youngest Author and world’s youngest webmaster. Onkar has been awarded various awards including the India’s Most prestigious & highest civilian award for Children i.e Rashtriya Bal Puraskar 2020 by President of India. Saying he was elated to announce this award, Onkar added “WHC has set its goal to  deliver a holistic service package that would inspire, educate and empower children across the world and we found the values, product, people and deliverables of The Kalgidhar Society to be a trend-setting all-encompassing model in social-development and nation-building.”

According to Dr Davinder Singh, Secretary, The Kalgidhar Society, Baru Sahib, “It’s been quite a challenging yet flourishing odyssey for us, provided our continuous focus on the enduring values of ‘simple living-high thinking’, love, compassion, professionalism, honesty, and integrity. It is a matter of great pride for our team that over the 34 years, we’ve been able to be the absolute benchmark for quality values-based education in rural areas of North India. This comes as a fresh whiff of air for this unsung unassuming fountainhead that for decades now has been advancing all aspects of life: education, health, socio-economic-moral empowerment in rural North India.”

Dr Neelam Kaur, Principal, Akal Academy IB World School and a noted Educationist and renowned health professional said “Akal Academies are shrines of education that nurture and attract the simplest and most deprived human talent and open a window to science, art and elevated thinking. Students respond by exploring worlds inner and outer, they never before imagined. We map the child's heart to create an enabler that spreads love and compassion. We examine the society around us, its advantages and its threats, and develop ways to make the globe a safer, peaceful, sustainable, sensitive, more equitable place. Our alumni are equally outstanding, shaping society with their leadership, creativity and innovation yet remain firmly rooted to the basic values and stand out with their simplicity and sensitivity.”

It is always refreshing to see such organisations getting recognition for their ‘Lessons of Humanity’ keeping in mind the spiritual message of ‘recognize entire human race as one’.
