Lido Learning Launches 10CR Young Leaders Scholarship Fund

Scholarship Fund 100 crore over the next 2 years

Edtech company Lido Learning launches first of its kind Young Leaders Scholarship of 10 crores to help India's best students become the country’s future leaders. The aim is to get this Scholarship Fund to 100 crore over the next 2 years

Lido Learning, which offers small group tutoring to students in Grade 4-9 in Maths, Science, English and Coding, has seen massive month-on-month growth during the pandemic, as more and more parents have opted to replace in-person school and tuition with online learning. However, the rising unemployment has made it difficult for many stellar students to be able to afford to continue studying online.

“Thanks to Lido’s billionaire investors like Ronnie Screwvala (Founder UTV, UpGrad) and Vikram Singhania (Managing Director of JK Tyres), we have been able to launch our Young Leaders Scholarship Fund to ensure that India’s best students do not have any break in their learning and development,” said Sahil Sheth, Founder, Lido Learning. “Our mission is to democratize high quality education and this fund is another way for us to achieve that aim.”

The fund will give out scholarships of Rs. 20,000 to deserving students from Grade 4-10. Selected students will become part of Lido’s flagship Young Leaders Program.
The program combines an interdisciplinary course of Math, English, Coding, Science and Leadership with career mentorship, hackathons and masterclasses with leaders in order to give students a well-rounded education to be the leaders of tomorrow. The curriculum has been designed by an expert team from Harvard and Stanford School of Education and focuses on building problem solving, technical skills, communication skills, confidence and creativity.

“With NEP 2020, the new government directive is clear: we should be focusing on holistic, skill based learning and our Young Leaders Program does exactly that,” said Sheth “It’s no longer good enough to train to be just an engineer, when most people are going to change careers at least 7 times, and when 800 million jobs are going to be lost to Artificial Intelligence. You need to have a very diverse and flexible skillset and the mind-set to change the world, if you want to be part of the 5% that will be giving orders to machines, rather than the 95% taking orders from them.”

The Young Leaders Scholarship Fund will be disbursing the first of the grants starting August 10 and the Learning to Lead Masterclass series will be kick-starting August 15, with Anupam Mittal (Shaadi CEO), Madhur Deora (PayTM President) and Ronnie Screwvala (UTV Founder) as the first speakers.

All students currently in Grades 4 to 9 are eligible for the Young Leaders Scholarship. To apply, go to lidolearning.com, and book a Young Leaders trial class; students will be selected based on performance, participation and teacher feedback.

One of the fraud company, worst learning experience for my kid, six months back I enrolled my kid for coding classes (120 classes) out of it 77 classes are already completed with zero knowledge and rest 43 classes are pending, they organize the classes as per their convenient and that to my kid always have to wait for the teacher where he always absent with-out information, I am really worried about his carrier and they have destroyed my kid’s carrier giving more than 6 months time. I paid 30.000.00, the tutor is always asking my kid to copy paste the code, that's it!! I raised so many complaints to the Lido Learning Team but their behavior is unprofessional and they are always trying to close the issue without any information. Now i have decided to quit and ask for the refund for pending 43 classes, what they are saying is horrible, for refund process 40 days they will where it was not mentioned at the time enrolment. For enrolment one of his Business manager gave the assurance, if not happy with classes will refund immediately and more likely another trap that parents fall into at the time of enrolment. Still I am waiting to get a refund but no response from the Lido Learning Team, which is very sad to any parent who invests his hard work money but one day you will find yourself very upset.I suggest please don’t get fall into their trap because once you pay, money and your kid’s carrier get collapsed
If there is any doubt about my post, I will be ready to share the WhatsApp chat recording video as well.
