English Oven Brings Its Taste to Lalbaugcha Raja, Offers Bhog Made with Its Bread
This Ganesh Utsav, English Oven, the bakery brand from Mrs. Bector’s Food Specialities, has become part of Mumbai’s iconic Lalbaugcha Raja celebrations, bringing its products closer to devotees and consumers.
As Lalbaugcha Raja celebrates its 93rd year, English Oven has set up two consumer-facing stalls at Digvijay Mill, serving Mumbai favourites including Vada Pav, sandwiches, Burger Vada, Bread Butter, Bread Jam, Pav Bhaji and sweet breads.
The initiative has received an enthusiastic consumer response, with Vada Pav selling out within the first 40 minutes of the activity commencing, while sandwiches and other offerings have also witnessed strong demand.
A Special Offering for Bappa
Adding a meaningful dimension to the celebrations, English Oven offered Bhog to Lalbaugcha Raja in the form of Shahi Tukda prepared using English Oven Bread.
For the brand, the gesture goes beyond a consumer activation—it reflects its growing connection with Maharashtra and its gratitude for being part of a cultural tradition that holds immense significance for millions of Mumbaikars.
“Our objective at Lalbaugcha Raja is simple — to reach the heart and stomach of every Mumbaikar. This is not about maximising profits, but about making our products accessible and bringing English Oven closer to people. To offer Bhog to Lalbaugcha Raja in the form of Shahi Tukda made with our bread is an incredibly special and emotional milestone for us. We feel blessed to be here and grateful to Mumbai for the love,” said Kunal Bahl, Senior Trade Marketing Manager, English Oven.
The initiative also comes soon after the opening of English Oven’s new manufacturing facility in Khapoli, strengthening the brand’s ability to serve consumers across Maharashtra.
The activation has been conceptualised and executed with MCA Worldwide.
