Civic Prosperity and Culture are Key to Global Peace: Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis at 'GIF II'

Mumbai, September 5, 2026: The inauguration of the two-day international conference for the second edition of the 'Global Impact Forum' (GIF II), organized by AP Globale in Mumbai, was held at the hands of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. The forum was convened to deliberate on how contemporary global partnerships can be built through diverse global cultures, ancient wisdom, traditions, and shared experiences. Consul Generals from Brazil, China, Russia, and South Africa, as well as Janhavi Pawar, Director of AP Globale, were prominently present on the occasion.

​The main objective of this conference is to overcome future global challenges by utilizing the thoughts and practices hidden within ancient civilizations, rather than merely looking back at history.

​Speaking during the inauguration, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis emphasized the inclusiveness of Indian culture and global unity. He said:

"In today's fragmented world, unity cannot be achieved through political dialogue alone; people-to-people connections, cultural exchange, and economic cooperation are essential. 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam'—the idea that the entire world is one family—is India's core philosophy. Platforms like BRICS give voice to the aspirations of the 'Global South' without encouraging any war or conflict. When reaching political consensus becomes difficult, the art, health, and human welfare values embedded in ancient cultures like Russia, China, Brazil, and India can show the world the path to peace and harmony."

​The first day of the conference saw in-depth discussions on cultural and sports exchanges among various countries. In the India-Brazil dialogue, dancer Ananda Shankar Jayant and Capoeira master Professor Raza Baba highlighted how connections are forged across borders through dance and physical movements. In the session titled 'The Face of a Nation', Miss India World 2026 Sadhvi Sail and Miss Universe Brazil 2024 Luana Cavalcante spoke on beauty, representation, and national identity. Former footballer Bhaichung Bhutia demonstrated how sports serve as a medium of national pride. Additionally, experts offered guidance on martial arts, calligraphy, and traditional health practices during the India-China dialogue.

​Expressing the organization's commitment to honoring the cultural heritage of BRICS nations, Janhavi Pawar, Director of AP Globale, noted:
