Strong Debut for SBI Funds Management Limited IPO, Lists at Rs 613.3 on the Exchange, Reaches a High of Rs 625 on the BSE

       Stock Reaches an Intraday High of Rs 625 on BSE and NSE
Mumbai, July 21, 2026: Shares of Mumbai-based SBI Funds Management Limited, the largest asset management company (AMC) in India by quarterly average mutual fund assets under management (QAAUM), with QAAUM of Rs 12,509.98 billion, listed at Rs 613.3 on the exchange, a rise of 6.8% from IPO price.

The scrip reached a high of Rs 625 on the BSE and NSE.

The scrip closed at Rs 610.1 on the NSE.

As per NSE, the total quantity traded stood at 848.49 lakh shares, on BSE the total Quantity stood at 91.2 lakh shares. Total Turnover (BSE+NSE) on Day 1 stood at Rs 5,794.7 crore.

The Market Capitalisation of the Company at today’s closing price stood at Rs 1.24 lakh crore as per BSE and NSE.

The company had offered a nearly Rs 9,795 crore issue for subscription from Tuesday, July 14, 2026, to Thursday, July 16, 2026.

This offer was subscribed nearly 41.66 times, and the Retail Portion and Non-Institutional Portion were subscribed 3.6 times and 22.51 times. 

Whereas the Qualified Institutional Investors (QIB) portion was subscribed 140.11 times, while the Employee Reserved Quota was subscribed 4.65 times on the final day of bidding.

About the Company 

Originally incorporated in 1992 as a private limited and converted into a public limited company pursuant to an intimation, the company is the largest asset management company (“AMC”) in India by quarterly average mutual fund assets under management (“QAAUM”), with QAAUM of Rs 12,509.98 billion and a mutual fund market share of 15.3% as of March 31, 2026, a position that it has consistently held since March 2021 (Source: CRISIL Report, paragraph 1, page 209). 

Including its Portfolio Management Services (“PMS”) and other advisory mandates (collectively with PMS, “Alternates”), its total QAAUM was Rs 29,461.05 billion as at March 31, 2026.
