Income Tax Mumbai Organise Outreach Programme on New Income Tax Act, 2025

Mumbai: 14 May 2026 :  The Income Tax Department organized an Outreach Programme in Mumbai under the guidance of  Nirupama Kotru, Chief Commissioner of Income Tax-4, Mumbai. It was organized to create awareness about the provisions of the New Income-tax Act 2025 and Income-tax Rules 2026.

Hosted by the Principal Chief Commissioner of Income Tax-5, Mumbai,Monica Khare,the programme saw participation of taxpayers from Hotel and Restaurant Industry, Including the President of Hotel and Restaurant Association (Western India), Jimmy Saw. senior officers briefed attendees on simplification in language and structure of the New Income-tax Act 2025 and Income-tax Rules 2026. along with educational content accessible by stakeholders.

The Department reaffirmed its commitment to ensure smooth transition to the New Income-tax act.
