Pinkathon Set for Mega Mumbai Run with Milestone 10th Edition; Forges Purpose-Led Partnership with Zydus for Breast Cancer Awareness

Pinkathon 2025-26 will commence its nine-month journey across six cities on December 21 at the MMRDA Grounds, BKC, Mumbai

Mumbai, September 23, 2025: Pinkathon, India’s biggest women’s run, returns for its landmark 10th edition in Mumbai, the city where it debuted more than a decade ago, uniting thousands of women to embrace fitness, community, and self-care. This year, Pinkathon has joined forces with Zydus Lifesciences Ltd. in a purpose-led partnership to champion breast cancer awareness and the importance of preventive health, with the latter coming on board the women’s health movement as a title sponsor.

Held at the MMRDA Grounds, BKC on September 21, the landmark 10th edition in Mumbai will offer something for everyone, from 3 km, Lifelong 5 km, and 10 km community runs to ultradistances of 50 km, 75 km, 100 km, and 100 km relay, ensuring that every woman–including first-time participants–finds a place in the movement. The Mumbai leg will kick off a six-city tour spanning Bengaluru, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Delhi, which will take place over nine months.

What began in 2012 under the vision of actor, entrepreneur, and fitness advocate Milind Soman has since grown into a nationwide movement that empowers women through running. Over the years, Pinkathon has inspired more than half a million women, facilitated free breast screenings for thousands, raised over ₹1 crore for underprivileged patients, and built a vibrant network of ambassadors across 300 locations, all with the mission of helping women prioritise their health and wellbeing.

Unveiling the 2025-26 Zydus Mumbai Pinkathon at a press conference at the Grand Hyatt, Santacruz, Pinkathon founder Milind Soman said: “At Pinkathon, our mission has always been to inspire every woman to take charge of her health and fitness while building a community of strength and inclusivity. With Zydus joining as Title Partner, we are amplifying this mission and urging women from all walks of life to make health a priority, integrating at least one physical activity into their daily lives, starting with running. Together, we are not only raising awareness of breast cancer but also driving preventive care and early detection, creating a movement that can transform women’s health across India.”

The launch event unveiled this year’s Mumbai Pinkathon mascots,10 km - Dipti Gandhi | Lifelong 5 km - Devieka Bhojwani | 3 km - Lavina Bhatia, reinforcing the event’s core values of inclusivity and inspiration. This year will also witness the third Mumbai edition of Invincible Women, an initiative founded by Ankita Konwar in 2023, which challenges women to test their endurance through ultradistances of 50Km, 75Km, 100Km, and 100Km relay. Limitless 100 km - Ajit Kaur Dhillon | Super 75 km - Dr. Bhavana Diyora | Fabulous 50 km - Daksha Kanavia

Ankita Konwar, Founder, Invincible Women, said: “As Pinkathon marks its 10th edition in Mumbai, it’s a reminder of how powerful this movement has become in inspiring women to prioritise their health. With the third edition of Invincible Women also unfolding here, we want to show that true competition lies within—pushing past our own limits, embracing fitness, and caring for our wellbeing. It’s about proving to ourselves what we’re capable of and carrying that strength into every part of life.”

Built on the pillars of women’s health, inclusivity, inspiration, and empowerment, Pinkathon’s 2025–26 edition aligns seamlessly with Zydus’ belief in healthcare as prevention. Through its Easiest Exam campaign, Zydus urges women to take a simple three-minute self-breast exam, an act of self-care that can save lives in a country where over 2 lakh women are diagnosed with breast cancer every year, and one woman dies every eight minutes due to late detection.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Sharvil Patel, Managing Director, Zydus Lifesciences, said, “With the Easiest Exam campaign, we seek to empower women with the knowledge that a simple 3-minute self-examination each month can make a life-saving difference. Joining hands with Pinkathon, we aim to reach many more women, raise awareness, and inspire collective action in the fight against breast cancer. We believe that raising awareness on women’s health and Breast cancer remains equally vital, as early detection has the power to save countless lives.”

Pinkathon has always stood apart for the unique initiatives it has brought to the running community. From the Saree Run and Babywearing Mothers’ Walk to the Cancer Shero Walk, Midnight Fearless Run, and inclusion of visually impaired participants, these formats have redefined the spirit of women’s running and created a safe, supportive space for every woman to participate.

The 10th Mumbai Pinkathon is supported by Lifelong as the Fitness Partner, Grand Hyatt Mumbai as the Hospitality Partner, and Maitrayana as the Philanthropy Partner, with the initiative also backed by Fit India and SAI.
