During the First Half, the event opens with the arrival and welcoming of guests. This is followed by a welcome address to the guests, and then a welcome address delivered by the Shri Abhijeet Bansode Director of Postal Services (HQ) for the Maharashtra Circle.
The program then transitions into a series of philatelic item releases and unveilings. There is the "Release of Mahapex 2025 Logo Cancellation in Red Colour", followed by the "Release of Permanent pictorial cancellation - Giant Meter wave Radio Telescope, Khodad Pune". Additional philatelic releases include the "Release of Special Cover - Monorail carried cover" and the "Release of Special Cover on Ferry carried cover".
A key moment during the closing ceremony was the release of a special cover on classical language/Marathi(also known as Abhijaat Marathi Bhasa). This cover served as a tribute to the rich linguistic diversity of the region and the importance of preserving traditional forms of expression.
Shri Amitabh Singh, Chief Postmaster General, Maharashtra Circle, Shri Adnan Ahmed Postmaster General, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar Region, Shri Ramchandra Jaybhaye Pune Region, Smt Sucheta Anant Joshi Postmaster General Navi Mumbai region are playing pivotal roles in this extraordinary event.
The ceremony then moved on to the much-awaited Mahapex Award Ceremony, where the top 10 philatelic achievements were recognized and celebrated. The Chief Guest, Shri Aashish Shelar, the esteemed Cultural and Technology Minister of Maharashtra, personally handed over the coveted awards to the deserving recipients, drawing thunderous applause from the gathered luminaries.
In his address, the Chief Guest lauded the organizers for their tireless efforts in making Mahapex 2025 a resounding success. He emphasized the government's unwavering support for initiatives that promote philately, a craft that not only preserves history but also fosters a deep appreciation for the nation's cultural tapestry.
