The event was to commemorate the 100th birth anniversary of Ramkrishna Bajaj who led the Bajaj Group and founded Bajaj Electricals – both the group and its companies are globally renowned. He was a visionary leader of his time and known for his strong stand on ethics and integrity in business. His commitment to equality was a cornerstone of his leadership. Eminent leaders like Shekhar Bajaj (Chairman of Bajaj Electricals Limited), Roger Pereira (Founder of ASCI) and Swapnil Kothari (President of CFBP) addressed the audience. Other dignitaries who graced the event were Vishnubhai Haribhakti, Jagdeep Kapoor, Vikesh Wallia, Niranjan Jhunjhunwala, Dolly Thakore, Ashok Bhansali and Anand Patwardhan. The event also witnessed the launch of the CFBP Titans Book Hindi Edition.
Ramkrishna Bajaj believed in ethical business practices in business and went on to instate the Council of Fair Business Practices was formed in 1966 which is active even today. In 1985, when ASCI was founded, he was a prominent founding member and championed the cause of developing a code of self-regulation and protect the consumer from misleading advertising. He was the one to introduce the idea of Consumer Meets in Bajaj Electricals where there was an open invitation to consumers all Over India to offer suggestions.
