Today, i.e on 14.10.2023, from 11:00 hours at the Mumbai GPO premises as a part of National Postal Week 2023 that has commenced from the 9th of October, 2023, to create awareness about the significance and relevance of letter writing amongst the youth and children of the country.
The event marked the esteemed presence, of celebrated writers Shri Raviraj Gandhe as the Chief Guest, Smt Santani Govindan and calligraphy mentor, Shri Achyut Palav as Guests of Honor. Shri Amitabh Singh ,Postmaster General, Mumbai Region and Dr Ajinkya Kale, Director of Postal Services, Mumbai Region were present amongst the dignitaries in the event.
More than 100 participants across various schools of Mumbai city and suburb joined the festival of writing letters in Mumbai GPO premises. The event aspired to revive the art and culture of letter writing and restoring the expression of human emotions through pen and paper, in this era where technology is considered as the best means of communication.
