Cardiac, respiratory, gynaecological, neurological, orthopaedic, liver and kidney problems are rampant in people of all age groups.  Many cases go unreported as people tend to suffer in silence. Not treating any ailment, disease, or condition at the right time can increase mortality or morbidity rates. Hence, Wockhardt Hospitals, Mira Road has come forward by taking a huge step in launching the outreach OPD services.

Dr Pankaj Damija, Centre Head, Wockhardt Hospitals Mira Road said, “We strive to spread awareness regarding early diagnosis and prevention of the diseases. Even though basic screening facilities are available for people in their areas, there is a need for cutting-edge technology and skilled expertise. Usually, people tend to travel to other parts of the city to receive prompt medical attention.  So, we intend to help such people get the required services in their locality. Those who are in need can opt for services without delaying the treatment and also cut down the travel time.   The OPD  offers consultation to manage problems related to orthopedics, gynaecology, cardiology, cardiac surgery, neurology, neurosurgery, endocrinology, paediatrics, gastroenterology, nephrology, urology.  Primary consultation and investigation will be done in this OPD. Also, the hospital is planning to provide an on-call ambulance facility in the Borivali region to handle emergencies.
