New Teams announced for CREDAI Women’s Wing and Youth Wing at CREDAI Women and Youth Leadership Summit in Delhi
New Delhi 15th May 2023: India’s leading Real Estate body, CREDAI, today announced new teams for its Youth Wing and Women’s wing, at the CREDAI Women and Youth Leadership Summit to highlight the role of Youth and Women in Indian Real Estate. The summit was held in New Delhi, amidst the gracious presence of Smt Smriti Irani, Honourable Minister for Women & Child Development and Minority Affairs.
The new team for CREDAI Women’s Wing for 2023-25, to lead a renewed, women-led era in Indian Real Estate, include Ms Rupa Shah, Convenor, CREDAI Women’s Wing, and Ms Sarah Jacob, Secretary, CREDAI Women’s Wing & Ms Sapna Rathi, Jt. Secretary, CREDAI Women’s Wing.
For CREDAI Youth Wing, Mr Nithish Reddy has been announced as the Convenor, where Ms Binitha Dalal has been appointed as the Co-convenor and Mr Nilesh Vora as Secretary.
Mr Gaurav Thakkar from Nashik designated as the Chairman for both Youth and Women’s wing of CREDAI.
CREDAI, which has set benchmarks for industry best practices for decades, intends to further the role and contribution of Youth and Women in Indian Real Estate, and has announced breakthrough initiatives to facilitate a conducive and evolutionary eco-system in the country.
Speaking at the event, Mr Boman Irani, President, CREDAI shared the organization's vision for growth, which is encapsulated in the acronym G.R.O.W.T.H. As part of this vision, he emphasized the importance of the Women's Wing in leading efforts to ensure that a minimum of 20% of the entire labour workforce engaged in the construction sector in India is registered with the respective state BoCW boards within the next 2 years.
Women’s wing shall identify & provide support to 10000 students from construction worker families who are aspiring to enter the sector to pursue studies in engineering, architecture, and other related streams. Besides this, the Women’s wing will also work on improving facilities at construction sites for the children of labour through basic education, creche facilities, health check-ups etc.
Mr Irani added that CREDAI is partnering on a 100 million Dollars proptech fund to incubate & invest in about 100 startups related to the real estate sector. This initiative is in partnership with Venture Catalysts, India’s no.1 early-stage investor, and NeoVon.
Given the site of Real Estate Industry in India we are confident that we shall be witnessing at least 10 Unicorns in the next few years.
To further support the Government’s start-up India Initiative and Make in India, CREDAI and CREDAI Youth Wing will organize business trade fairs and study tours in different countries. During these events, the delegation of CREDAI will meet with stakeholders across tech & manufacturing capital providers to bring in new-age construction technology solutions, further opening doors & enabling international developer tie-ups, and new-age capital providers to the construction sector in India & enabling Indian developers to explore options internationally.
Overall, these initiatives aim to promote the real estate sector and support the Government’s vision for a stronger, more innovative India.
