Take note, non-dancers! Tips, Moj dance creators swear to master the basics this World Dance Day

Dance as an art form sets you free, ignites your emotions, and spreads happiness, and the internet is full of expressive souls who dance their way out of anything! Be it professional dance, social media trends, or the famous baarati dance; our mind has subconsciously done the mindless scrolling for all!  Dance has been shown to increase endorphins, which make you feel good and cheerful, but it might be tricky for people who can't shake a leg!

Don’t be shy, we feel your pain and have the best tips on how ace your basics to help you celebrate World Dance Day!

  1. Practice, Practice, Practice, like there, is no tomorrow!

“Practice makes one perfect.” Rahul Popper, a national award winner in acrobatics and a popular dance content creator on Moj, believes in practicing steps in front of the mirror. He advises practicing the dance routine  4-8 times in front of the mirror and promises that dancing will get much easier after this.

  1. Social Dancing, yes you read it right!

For non-dancers, dancing alone in a social gathering can be a nightmare, but Rohit Singh, the winner of India's Dancing Superstar and a Moj content creator, recommends social dancing as the simplest method to overcome shyness. Fun fact, in front of them, you don't have to worry about complicated steps or great form. You can have fun dancing with your friends and family while also enhancing your soul!

  1. Did you find that rhythm, yet?

Every Indian lives and breathes Bollywood music. Manya Singh, a 17-year-old content creator on Moj, has been passionate about dancing since the age of 4 and specializes in contemporary Bollywood, Bhangra, and Hip-hop. Manya suggests finding your rhythm in the songs you love the most, which will help you overcome your fear of dancing and make you more comfortable. In other words, dance your heart out while finding the rhythm.

  1. Stay right in the moment!
Himanshu Srivastava, a choreographer and the winner of Moj Superstar Hunt, believes that it is essential to keep your judgment aside while dancing and instead keep your focus on what you are doing in that particular moment. This will allow you to let loose and enjoy dancing rather than focus on what others think. There, we said it! Loosen up and enjoy rather than stressing about the world.
  2. Like Pradbhudeva said, “Dance to express and not impress”

Dance is the perfect way to express yourself and your emotions. Sandip Brahminthe winner of the Street Dancer Challenge and a content creator on Moj from Siliguri, believes that you should always dance for yourself, practice bringing out your emotions through dance, and the world will see miracles from their eyes. Start with the basics and enjoy the entire process.

So, what are you waiting for? Download Moj and upload your favourite dancing move and don't forget to tag your favourite creator.
