~ The fifth edition of the amateur Go Kart tournament received participation from more than 350 enthusiasts across 5 cities ~
India, 22 February 2022: Erda’s Speedway in Baroda witnessed a nerve-racking National final of Red Bull Kart Fight 2022 on Friday, 18th February 2022. The ultimate racing experience and a one of its kind amateur Go Kart tournament, Red Bull Kart Fight received participation from more than 350 enthusiasts across 5 cities in its fifth edition. The top 2 participants from each of the five cities (based on a leaderboard across the activation) i.e., Mumbai, Vadodara, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Chennai, qualified for the national finals in Baroda on Friday 18th February 2022.
Lucknow boy, Pranjal Anand, with the fastest lap time raced past his competitors and was crowned the Red Bull Kart Fight Champion and earned an all-expense paid trip to watch one Formula1 Grand Prix in 2022 and have an incredible Red Bull Racing experience.
Red Bull athlete and India’s young racing sensation Mira Erda was also seen engaging and motivating the racers at the Red Bull Kart Fight National Finals at the Erda’s Speedway in Baroda.
Red Bull Athlete Mira Erda, the first Indian female racer to win internationally in Formula 4, said, “It is heart-warming to witness an enthralling National Final today. Congratulations to all the finalists who competed and especially to Pranjal Anand for emerging as the champion of the fifth edition of Red Bull Kart Fight. Red Bull Kart Fight 2022 National Finals Winner Pranjal Anand, from Lucknow and qualified from Vadodara said, “I am thrilled about my win; it feels great to have won the National finals of Red Bull Kart Fight 2022. The competition was very tough but I was confident of putting on a good show and gave my best. After 5 years, I finally won, so grateful. In the next edition, I will try to defend my position. Red Bull Kart Fight is a great platform for amateur racers like me as it gives us wings to get noticed and an opportunity to witness the Formula 1 Grand Prix later this year.”
