Jairangam Fringes Theatre Festival 1st time in Mumbai a 3-day theatre festival


 3 M Dot Bands in collaboration with the Ministry of Art & Culture, Government of India in association with Mukkti Foundation will be hosting Jairangam Fringes Mumbai 2019 for the first time ever.

 Mumbai will host 6 plays from 15th December 2019 to 17th December 2019, presenting a diverse range of theatre forms from all over the nation.

The financial capital is all set to shine under the spotlight with Jairangam Fringes theatre festival, being held in Mumbai for the first time. 3 M Dot Bands in collaboration with the Ministry of Art and Culture, Government of India in association with Mukkti Foundation is organizing a 3-day theatre festival from 15th December 2019 to 17th December 2019 at Mukkti Cultural Hub. The city is known for its traditional values and aesthetic sense of performing arts.Therefore, Mumbai boasts of a sizeable theatre loving population who may take this chance to experience a variety of folk, national, and thriller plays.

The mega event will showcase 6 classic theatre plays such as “The Way I see It” (Shiv
Subrahmanyam), “Pitaji Please” (Makrand Deshpande), “Kiss of the Spider Woman” (Hardik
Shah), “Baanswada Company” (Niresh Kumar), “Hum Gunahgar Auretein” (Sadiya Siddiqui)
and “Ballygunge 1990” ( Atul Satya Koushik). Jairangam Theatre festival may be attended by
renowned actors Makarand Deshpande, Divya Jagdale, Rakesh Bedi, Udbhav Ojha, Pawni
Pandey, Sadiya Siddiqui to name a few.

Deepak Gera, Director of Festival, Jairangam Fringes says, “The magic of art and theatre has
the power to transform an audience, an individual, or enmasse, to transform them and give
them an epiphany experience that changes their life, opens their hearts and their minds and
the way they think. Jairangam started with an aim to celebrate diversity and to uplift the
scenario of theatre in Jaipur and Rajasthan. The previous 7 seasons proved to be tremendously
successful and the 8th edition was another feather in the cap. In view that the dream that
Jairangam weaved for Jaipur is now a reality, it plans to weave the same dream for other states
in the country – Maharashtra, Kolkata, and Karnataka.”

stage for Intercultural exchange by bringing together plays and artists from different regions

Jairangam Fringes gives promising young directors such Varun Pawar and Hardik Shah to work parallel to established artists such as Makarand Deshpande, Sadiya Siddiqui, and Atul Satya Koushik, to name a few, allowing an exchange of Creativity and Experience.”
