Each of the underprivileged graduated student’s bag employment with leading bakeries Graduating Day ceremony of the third batch of bakers from Puratos Sanskaar Foundation School, a non-profit bakery school run by Puratos India was held in Navi Mumbai on July 5 th , 2018. This year 19 underprivileged students from diverse background received their certification in Bakery, Patisserie and Chocolate. During the intensive two year study program students learn the art of baking simple breads to complex desserts. Each of these graduating students has been assisted for job placements with leading bakeries in India.

Marking the school's inauguration in 2014 as Puratos's commitment to corporate social
responsibility (CSR), this was the first school established in India by Puratos Group. The school
is aimed at minimizing skilled manpower shortage in the hospitality industry and helping

The school is located on the premises of the Shirvane Vidayalaya and Junior College in Navi
Mumbai and around 20 students enroll each year from this school, most of whose 3,000 students
come from underprivileged backgrounds.
The course boasts a wide curriculum, beginning with the basics of baking and patisserie and
moving on to advanced levels of patisserie, sugar work and chocolate making. Students enrolled
receive world class training from trainers who have been trained by Puratos headquarter in
Belgium. In 2016, the first batch of 16 students graduated after receiving 2 years of intensive
training and a course completion certificate from Puratos University. They stepped in to the
exciting world of Bakery, Patisserie and Chocolate and carved a bright and financially secure
future on being placed with the top notch brands in India’s bakery space.
