ISPL Season 3: Majhi Mumbai Claim Top Spot with Clinical Win Over Srinagar Ke Veer; Falcon Risers Hyderabad Beat Delhi Superheros in Swift Run Chase

Surat, January 18, 2026:* It was a day of one-sided dominance at the Lalbhai Contractor Stadium as Majhi Mumbai and Falcon Risers Hyderabad registered comprehensive victories in their respective ISPL Season 3 fixtures on Sunday. Majhi Mumbai ascended to the top of the points table with a disciplined 7-wicket win over Srinagar Ke Veer, while Falcon Risers Hyderabad defeated Delhi Superheros by 6 wickets.

Big Win for Hyderabad

Falcon Risers Hyderabad delivered a clinical bowling masterclass to defeat Delhi Superheros by 6 wickets in the second match of the evening. Led by Pritpal Singh’s decisive four-wicket haul, Hyderabad restricted Delhi to a meager 39 runs before chasing down the target in just 5.3 overs.

Delhi Superheros’ innings never gathered momentum after being put in to bat. The batting lineup crumbled under sustained pressure, with wickets falling in clusters. Opener Aakash Jangid fell for a duck in the first over, setting the tone for the collapse. Vinayak Bhoir briefly resisted with a top score of 9 off 11 balls, but the middle order failed to fire. The innings was further derailed by score deductions, evidenced by the team total dropping from 9-3 to 7-4, likely due to a failed 50-50 challenge or penalty rules.

Pritpal Singh was the wrecker-in-chief for Hyderabad, returning exceptional figures of 4 for 11 in his two overs. He was ably supported by Parveen Kumar (2/5) and Vicky Bhoir (2/11), who kept the scoring rate under strict control. Delhi was eventually bowled out for 39 on the final ball of the 10th over, with no batter reaching double figures.

In reply, Falcon Risers Hyderabad approached the small target with aggression. Despite losing opener Prashant Gharat early for 3, Mansoor KL anchored the chase with a brisk 21 off 13 balls, striking three boundaries at a strike rate of 161.54. Although Delhi’s bowlers managed to pick up four wickets, including strikes by Nashant Kumar and Dhiraj Bhoir, the target was too low to defend. Mansoor KL retired out with the score within touching distance, and Vicky Pujari (4 not out) sealed the victory in the 6th over.

Mumbai return to winning ways

Mumbai - who had a forgettable outing on Saturday - made course correction and returned to the winning ways within 24 hours. Chasing a modest target of 71 against Srinagar Ke Veer, Majhi Mumbai batters crossed the line with 13 balls to spare, finishing at 74 for 3 in 7.5 overs. Mumbai now have 8 points in six games, with four wins.

Opting to bowl first, the Mumbai attack applied pressure early, reducing Srinagar to a precarious position. The bowling unit, led by Manish Waghmare’s economical spell of 1 for 5 in two overs, never allowed the opposition batters to settle. Ijaj Ahmad (2 for 16) and Darshan Bandekar (2 for 17) struck at regular intervals, dismantling the top order. Srinagar’s innings was salvaged by a gritty unbeaten 27 off 25 balls from Amol Nilugade, who anchored one end while wickets fell around him. Mangesh Vaity (10) and Macmillan Govind (10) were the only other batters to reach double figures as Srinagar crawled to 70 for 8 in their allotted 10 overs.

In response, Majhi Mumbai’s chase was steady, anchored by opener Thomas Dias. Dias scored a composed 26 off 21 balls, including three boundaries, to set the platform. Despite losing Ajaz Shaikhlal Bepari (16) and Mahendra Chandan (12) in the middle overs, the result was rarely in doubt. Abhishek Kumar Dalhor applied the finishing touches in spectacular fashion, blasting two sixes in his unbeaten 12 off just 3 balls.

For Srinagar, the bowlers struggled to defend the low total. Prajyot Ambhire was the pick of the attack with figures of 1 for 17, while Dilip Binjwa and Raju Mukhiya claimed a wicket each. However, the lack of runs on the board ultimately proved insurmountable.

Ahmedabad Lions face Chennai Singams on Monday at 8 PM.
