Indian Red Cross Society Felicitates REC Foundation with ‘CSR Award of Appreciation’

Recognizing its exceptional contribution to healthcare accessibility and community welfare, the Indian Red Cross Society has conferred the ‘CSR Award of Appreciation’ upon REC Foundation, the CSR arm of REC Limited.

The honour was presented by Shri Gulab Chand Kataria, Hon’ble Governor of Punjab, to Shri Pradeep Fellows, Executive Director (CSR), REC Limited.

REC Foundation’s continuous efforts to deliver quality healthcare through Mobile Medical Units (MMUs) underscore its unwavering commitment to improving the lives of people in the nation’s most remote and underserved regions.

यह सम्मान पंजाब के माननीय राज्यपाल श्री गुलाब चंद कटारिया द्वारा आरईसी लिमिटेड के कार्यकारी निदेशक (सीएसआर) श्री प्रदीप फेलोज़ को प्रदान किया गया।

मोबाइल मेडिकल यूनिट्स (एमएमयू) के माध्यम से गुणवत्तापूर्ण स्वास्थ्य सेवा प्रदान करने के लिए आरईसी फाउंडेशन के निरंतर प्रयास देश के सबसे दूरस्थ और वंचित क्षेत्रों में लोगों के जीवन को बेहतर बनाने के लिए इसकी अटूट प्रतिबद्धता को रेखांकित करते हैं।

REC is a 'Maharatna' company under the administrative control of the Ministry of Power, Government of India, and is registered with RBI as Non-Banking Finance Company (NBFC), Public Financial Institution (PFI) and Infrastructure Financing Company (IFC). आरईसी लिमिटेड देश में अवसंरचना परिसंपत्तियों के निर्माण के लिए राज्य, केंद्र और निजी कंपनियों को विभिन्न परिपक्वताओं के ऋण प्रदान करता है। आरईसी लिमिटेड बिजली क्षेत्र के लिए सरकार की प्रमुख योजनाओं में एक महत्वपूर्ण रणनीतिक भूमिका निभा रहा है और प्रधानमंत्री सहज बिजली हर घर योजना (सौभाग्य), दीन दयाल उपाध्याय ग्राम ज्योति योजना (डीडीयूजीजेवाई), राष्ट्रीय विद्युत निधि (एनईएफ) योजना के लिए नोडल एजेंसी रही है, जिसके परिणामस्वरूप देश में अंतिम मील वितरण प्रणाली, 100% गांव विद्युतीकरण और घरेलू विद्युतीकरण को मजबूत किया गया है। आरईसी को पुनर्गठित वितरण क्षेत्र योजना (आरडीएसएस) के अंतर्गत कुछ राज्यों और केंद्र शासित प्रदेशों के लिए नोडल एजेंसी के रूप में नामित किया गया है। इसके अतिरिक्त, केंद्र सरकार ने आरईसी को प्रधानमंत्री सूर्य घर मुफ्त बिजली योजना के कार्यान्वयन की ज़िम्मेदारी भी सौंपी है।
