Mumbai, 8th May : Shri Kanhuraj Bagate of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Department expressed his opinion that the message of fuel saving will reach everywhere through this initiative of Energy conservation towards Net Zero.
In Yashwantrao Chavan Auditorium, Valedictory function of SAKSHAM-23 (Fuel & Gas Conservation) was organized by State Level Coordinator for Oil Industry in Maharashtra. During which Controller of Rationing and Director Civil Supplies Shri Kanhuraj Bagate spoke in the concluding program.
On this occasion Olympic Hockey Player & Coach Shri Tushar Khandker, Chief General Manager of IOCL Shri Ajit P Dhakras, Chief General Manager of IOCL Shri Rajeev Shrestha, General Manager of GAIL Shri Shantanu Basu, Region Head (LPG) of BPCL Shri Sudipto Mukherjee, General Manager of HPCL Shri Lakshmanrao, Additional Director Shri Nandan Gajbhiye and Maharashtra State Coordinator of Oil Industry Shri Santosh Nivendkar were present.
Shri. Bagate said, India today is the most populous country in the world and also the country that consumes the most energy. Along with increasing energy consumption, carbon emissions are also increasing. The increasing amount of carbon in the atmosphere is changing the earth's atmosphere to a great extent. Hence Shri Bagate appealed that everyone should take precautions while using Fuel & Gas.
Olympic Player & Coach Shri Tushar Khandker said, the new generation is understanding the meaning of the word Saksham Mahotsav. Shri. Khandker also said that there is a need for fuel saving for sustainable development to take India forward in development and hence this story started from school children is definitely a joy.
In this program, students Performed Skit & Debate on fuel saving. Also, the winners of various debates and other competitions were felicitated along with teachers. On this occasion , Information about more than 1000 different activities performed in Saksham 2023 was shown through Documentary. Lastly Shri Deepak Wagh from SLC Maharashtra thanked everyone.
