Pronam senior citizens attend `Ek Mancha Ek Jiban’ theatre show

Dr Vinay Prabhakar Sahasrabuddhe, MP and President of ICCR, at the Purba Paschim theatre group's Ek Mancha Ek Jiban play staged  at Academy of Fine Arts which was attended by Senior Citizen members of Pronam, a joint initiative of Kolkata Police and NGO The Bengal.

22 April 2021, Kolkata: Dr Vinay Prabhakar Sahasrabuddhe, MP and President of Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), witnessed leading theatre group Purba Paschim’s very acclaimed production “Ek Mancha Ek Jiban”staged at the Academy of Fine Arts, Kolkata. The play is based on the life of Girish Chandra Ghosh - the father of Bengali theater.

 

The theatre show was attended by senior citizen members of Pronam, a joint initiative of Kolkata Police and leading non-governmental organisation The Bengal.  Dr Sahashrabuddhe enjoyed the production thoroughly and was felicitated by the theatre group at the end of the show.

Sri Soumitra Mitra introduced him to the audience and in his brief speech Dr Sahasrabuddhelauded the contribution of Bengal in the cultural sphere in India and especially mentioned Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore .

 

At the end of the programme he greeted all the artists and conveyed his gratitude for the invitation.
