K J Somaiya Institute of Engineering & Information Technology bagged Platinum Category under AICTE – CII survey of Industry linked technical Institute-2020 award

Mumbai, Jan 2021: K J Somaiya Institute of Engineering & Information Technology, one of the leading engineering institutes in Mumbai is ranked under the prestigious ‘Platinum’ category by All Indian Council for Technical Education (AICTE) & Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) survey. For the year 2020, based on various parameters, the survey was conducted all over India where 814 Institutes participated in the full survey. K J Somaiya Institute of Engineering & Information Technology is one among the leading Institutes to gain the coveted ranking along with 22% of other Institutes who also won the platinum category. 

AICTE and CII have been organizing a survey to identify the best industry-linked technical institutes in India since 2012. AICTE-CII jointly carry out this survey yearly at the national level and announce the results among three categories based on the strength of the industry linkages — Silver, Gold, and Platinum, where platinum being the highest.

Since 2016, K J Somaiya Institute of Engineering & Information Technology has been placed Twice in the Gold Category Award and Thrice in the ‘Platinum’ category in consecutive succession adding on Somaiya’s crown.
