Indian Jewellers Week by India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA)


Indian Jewellers Week organised by India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA) was
inaugurated today by Hon. Governor of Maharashtra Shri Vidyasagar Rao.

 Mr. Mohit Kamboj President of IBJA welcomed Hon. Governor & termed this event as historical event for a 99 year old association. Hon. Governor in his speech stated that after one nation one tax i.e. GST it is not necessary to move goods from one state to another state for exhibition
or trade shows. He stated that this type of festival will not only bring down insurance &
logistics cost but also enable jewellers to work in a secured environment & allow him to do
hassle free business. he emphasis on need of involving more women entrepreneurs into this
business.

 IJW is a unique jewellery festival wherein 12,000 buyers from across the India are
expected to visit Zaveri Bazar, which is likely to boost GST revenue of more than 500 crores
to the Maharashtra State.

This festival is also unique as it carter to small manufacturers and wholesalers also IBJA has
been able to reduce the exhibiting cost of jewellers by apprx. 91% through this festival.
Shri Raj Purohit Cabinet Minister & Maharashtra MLA was also presented & congratulated the jewellers in working align with government’s plan of ease of doing business. Shri Prithviraj
Kothari Vice-President of our our association gave the vote of thanks to Ho. Governor.
