NH SRCC marks grand Mother’s Day celebrations with panel discussions, interactive sessions & special ramp- walk for the mother

Mumbai, May 2023: To celebrate the spirit of motherhood in the most special way, Narayana Health’s SRCC Children’s Hospital, Mumbai organised a series of events for young and expecting mothers with the vision to raise awareness on ‘High risk fetus- Birthing and Management’ on Saturday, May 13. 


Marking the Mother’s Day celebrations, the NH SRCC Children's Hospital held a comprehensive panel discussion which involved experts from various fields including obstetrics & gynaecologists, paediatric intensivists, paediatric cardiac surgeons, and paediatric surgeons that conversed on a range of topics, such as role of experts, right infrastructure and advanced technology in high risk foetus birthing. The discussion also revolved around the implications. causes and consequences of prematurity, and more to ensure the expecting and new mothers experience a healthy motherhood. 


On the occasion, Dr Soonu Udani, Medical Director, NH SRCC said, “Mother’s Day is a great occasion to celebrate the power of women as mothers. NH SRCC has designed specially a new programme particularly for young mothers as becoming parents is an overwhelming experience. We’ve created a programme that is supportive, informative and is tailored to each couple for a safe and happy pregnancy. The panel discussion represents our initiative to build an awareness amongst all the ‘mothers to be’ and their families - on high risk fetus- birthing and management.”


The celebrations commenced in the afternoon and also included various sessions where the new mothers shared their own experiences and stories, followed by a grand book launch on ‘Lower your would-be child’s high risk’. The book is a comprehensive and informative composition for all the ‘mothers to be’ and their families.


The event culminated with a special ramp walk that was organized with the objective of glorifying the journey of each mother from ‘Womanhood to Motherhood’.
