Commenting on this partnership, Akash Sinha, CEO and Co-founder, Cashfree said, “COD orders in the Indian e-commerce space have been on a decline since last year, with consumers increasingly turning to digital payment options. Our partnership with Dukaan showcases how setting up an e-commerce store with an ability to collect online payments can be convenient for both merchants and end customers. We are seeing great traction for this solution in the grocery, fruits & vegetables and restaurant segments.”
“Cashfree is the first online payments company in India to introduce a comprehensive ecommerce payments suite that helps businesses manage customer payment collection, refunds and disbursals using the same platform. Now, we have magnified our focus on further advancing India’s payments landscape. We believe this partnership will incentivise more merchants to adopt a digital-first approach and help them scale their businesses,” he further added.
Suumit Shah, Founder & CEO, Dukaan, said, “At Dukaan, we are consistently working towards revolutionizing retail for merchants and customers alike. The pandemic has altered consumer shopping habits as online shopping is now a trusted medium that also helps in maintaining social distancing. This increases the need for simplified customer-friendly payments to support the growing industry. We have partnered with Cashfree to bring a seamless payment experience for the end customers as well as the merchants on the Dukaan platform.”
Cashfree’s e-commerce suite includes the company’s seamless payment gateway for websites and mobile apps, with a wide range of web and mobile checkout integrations. Businesses can also send their customers’ payment links over WhatsApp or other social media channels and collect payments.
