BHIM Ka Dum with NPCI

Once upon a time in Mumbai, while travelling in a office hour-rushed local, we had an ironic epiphany. An epiphany was that , we had the Celebrity among us , who had possessed The Credit card. An irony was that , we discovered her Celebrity status only after she declared that she had lost that Credit Card. Rather confusing, is not it ?.  Let's take it bit by bit, cause that's how Electronics = E-Payments works in bits of 0 and 1.

In those days of manual banking, Internet was LUXURY, which could be afforded by a chosen few. Naturally E-banking, online transactions were rare like crystal clear Air. Very few elites possessed Debit , Credit , ATM cards and it was sort of status symbol to flaunt. Now in the era of Demonetization , transparency and E-currency CARDS are necessary and easily available. But the Million Dollar question is , how and which card to select ?

The answer is Simple and Sure fire. India is the largest & thriving democracy in the world. Our democratically selected Government is anytime more Trustworthy & Secure than the others. Get RuPay to Pay & Receive.

Quite an informative piece on the cashless options. However as an ex banker I do have some reservations related to the safety of the apps. The recent debit card/AatM frauds have again highlighted how easily hacking and phishing can happen leading to frauds. I hope RuPay and BHIM take care of these aspects.

The financial transaction systems in our country are undergoing a massive change and everything will be interconnected and integrated framework. It is just the click away. These apps are slowly but certainly gaining the foothold and these shall be the de-facto standards for all our payment and collection.
Thanks for the way you have touched on various aspects of the system and presented it so well.

Detailed and an informative post. Not sure that the democratically elected govt has anything to do with technical security of such apps.

Hey Sonia, I agree with you totally. I had even written an article about Online frauds, when I was a sub-editor in a daily. Still, I think RuPay & BHEEM being from NPCI ( Initiative of RBI ) , are more dependable than others.

I started using UPI payment for most of my online transactions and fund transfer months back and what can I say, it eased me out from the worries of those scheduled transfers and stuff. How can i forget to mention about the problems i used to face while paying online using credit or debit card as most of the time there would be an issue as the OTP message would never be delivered on time because of the network issue.
