Dr. Vijay Chile Launches Ground-breaking Book to Reverse Type 2 Diabetes, Ignites National Movement — Mission Reversal Diabetes , Mentions that India Faces a Diabetes Crisis — But Reversal Is Possible

Dr. Vijay Chile, MD (Medicine) and Diabetologist, celebrated the launch of his new book, Reversing Diabetes Naturally, in Mumbai. He was joined by Mr. Uday Chile at the event, which highlights Dr. Chile's innovative approach to diabetes management. With over 30 years of clinical experience, Dr. Chile has helped numerous patients control their blood sugar levels and reduce medication dependency through lifestyle modifications.

Mumbai, May 30, 2025 — In a major step forward in India’s battle against Type 2 Diabetes, renowned diabetologist and senior physician Dr. Vijay Chile today launched his new book "Reversing Diabetes Naturally" at a special press conference, calling on patients and medical professionals alike to shift the national narrative from diabetes control to diabetes reversal.

India faces a staggering health challenge, with over 101 million people living with diabetes — nearly 11.4% of the population. Even more concerning, nearly 75% of them have uncontrolled blood sugar levels (HbA1C > 7%), leading to severe and life-altering complications:

30% develop heart disease

40% suffer from diabetic neuropathy

28% experience kidney failure

10% face paralytic attacks

28% endure vision loss due to retinopathy

Speaking at the event, Dr. Chile emphasized that diabetes is not a life sentence, but a reversible condition when tackled with the right approach. “Reversal, not just control, must be the goal,” he said, urging both patients and healthcare providers to embrace a new, evidence-based path.

His book Reversing Diabetes Naturally is a simple, practical guide that empowers patients with actionable lifestyle strategies — such as combining carbohydrates with protein or fiber-rich salads, and practicing 5-minute micro-exercises that can reduce blood sugar by 50 mg/dL in just 10 minutes. The book also introduces modern tools like CGMS (Continuous Glucose Monitoring Systems) — a non-invasive way to track sugar levels minute-by-minute over 14 days.

Real Results, Real Lives Transformed

Dr. Chile shared impressive outcomes from his clinical practice:

40% of his patients achieve diabetes reversal — stopping insulin, reducing medications, and bringing HbA1C to normal levels.

20% reach remission — maintaining healthy sugar levels with minimal or no medication for over six months.

With the launch of this book, Dr. Chile is spearheading a movement to empower 1 million Indians to reverse diabetes and prevent devastating complications that rob patients of their quality of life.

About the Author

Dr. Vijay Chile, M.D. (Medicine), is a respected physician and diabetologist who completed his MBBS and MD from KEM Hospital, Mumbai, and served as a lecturer at BYL Nair Hospital. With decades of clinical experience and a strong focus on diabetes reversal, Dr. Chile has helped thousands of patients reclaim their health naturally and sustainably.

A National Call to Action

“This book belongs in the hands of every diabetic and every doctor,” said Dr. Chile, addressing the media. “Together, we can ignite a national transformation — not just managing diabetes, but reversing it, and restoring health, wealth, and well-being to millions.”

The event concluded with an appeal to the media to amplify this message and help reach millions more. With their storytelling power, the movement to reverse diabetes and reduce the healthcare burden can truly become a nationwide revolution.

KASHISH PRIDE FILM FESTIVAL PRESS CONFERENCE IGNITES STRONG SUPPORT FOR QUEER CINEMA

Mumbai – May 29, 2025: The press conference for the 16th edition of the Kashish Pride Film Festival was held today at the Mumbai Press Club, bringing together prominent voices from the Indian film and LGBTQIA+ communities to speak passionately about the importance of inclusive storytelling and the evolving role of queer cinema in society.

In attendance were members of the Festival’s Advisory Board, including celebrated filmmakers Aruna Raje Patil and Onir, and Viveck Vaswani. Members of the Narrative Jury - acclaimed directors Tanuja Chandra, Shishir Sharma, and actor Shruti Seth—joined the conversation alongside the Documentary Jury, featuring activist and filmmaker Bishakha Datta, director Prateek Vats, and film director Shubhra Chatterji. Representing the Student Jury was actor Siddharth Menon, who added the youth perspective to the rich dialogue.

Sridhar Rangayan, founder and Festival Director of Kashish, set the tone for the conference with a powerful message: “Kashish has always been about creating a safe and celebratory space for queer stories to be seen and heard. In a world that’s increasingly polarized, cinema becomes a powerful equalizer—one that opens minds and hearts. We are proud to be a platform where love, identity, and resilience take center stage.”

The event saw impassioned statements from the Advisory Board, with Aruna Raje Patil emphasizing, “It’s important to communicate—and one of the best ways to do that is through films that celebrate diversity and familiarize us with the queer world.”

Onir urged the mainstream industry to open its doors wider: “Mainstream cinema must acclimatize itself to queer narratives if we want meaningful change.”

Viveck Vaswani added, “We must visibly support queer cinema. It’s not just about representation—it’s about making space, providing resources, and celebrating these voices wholeheartedly.”

The Narrative Jury highlighted the artistic and emotional power of the festival’s selection. Tanuja Chandra praised the range and depth of films, particularly those centered around trans narratives: “These aren’t just important for the cause—they are genuinely beautiful films. I learned so much as a director. Justice and equality are never outdated concepts. Nature doesn’t discriminate—human beings do.”

Shruti Seth brought warmth and honesty to the conversation:

“Love equals peace. Love equals everything. If you love people and you love cinema, you should be at Kashish.”

She also spoke about the emotional weight of family rejection: “When your primary support system doesn’t accept you, it can scar you deeply. People must be willing to step out of their comfort zones to understand another’s truth.”

Shishir Sharma emphasized the urgency of normalizing queer stories: “It’s essential to include queer films in the repertoire. Cinema has the power to challenge and change entrenched beliefs.”

The Documentary Jury reflected on the emotional and political charge in this year’s lineup. Bishakha Datta noted, “These films, while often painful, are also full of joy—they’re about resilience and finding chosen families. There’s incredible bravery in standing up and saying, ‘I matter too.’”

Prateek Vats said, “In a world where hatred is sold as currency, we must make love and inclusivity our currency. These films force us to rethink what family means today.”

Shubhra Chatterji applauded the experimentation in form and technique, adding, “Despite pervasive censorship, we still have a resounding voice. These films are a beacon of hope.”

From the Student Shorts Jury, Siddharth Menon offered a refreshing take: “There’s no difference between queer and straight cinema—good storytelling is universal.” As the conference drew to a close, a unifying message echoed throughout: stories can change the world. They can shift perspectives, challenge taboos, and affirm the simple truth that everyone deserves to be seen, heard, and loved.

The Kashish Pride Film Festival will continue to showcase powerful LGBTQIA+ stories from around the world, creating not just a cinematic experience, but a movement grounded in empathy, justice, and pride.

JNPA Celebrates 36 Years as India’s Largest Container Port; Port commemorates Foundation Day with top dignitaries and industry leaders

“JNPA has transformed from a port into a powerful engine of national development. Its rise as India’s largest container port reflects the strength of its ecosystem, driven by leadership and innovation.”- Union Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal

:Mumbai, May 26, 2025

Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) redefined its stature in India's port landscape as India’s Largest Container Port as it celebrated its 36th Foundation Day on Monday, May 26, 2025. The commemorative event was held in the august presence of Union Cabinet Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal; Union Minister of State for Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Shri Shantanu Thakur and Secretary, Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Shri T K Ramachandran.

Speaking at the event, Union Minister of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal stated, “My heartfelt congratulations to the JNPA family on completing 36 years of dedicated service. Guided by the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision of ‘Vocal for Local’ and ‘Local to Global,’ JNPA has transformed from a port into a powerful engine of national development. Its rise as India’s largest container port reflects the strength of its ecosystem, driven by leadership, innovation, and strong private sector participation. With projects like Vadhvan Port set to place India among the world’s top 10 maritime hubs, JNPA stands as a role model in building a self-reliant, globally competitive maritime sector. This growth also brings greater responsibility — to lead, inspire, and raise the bar for the entire maritime industry. The time to act is now — with unity, planning, and purpose, India can become a top 5 maritime nation in the world.”

Union Minister of State for Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Shri Shantanu Thakur said, “The 36th Foundation Day of JNPA is not just a celebration — it reflects the nation’s growing interest in the port sector and the vital role it plays in our economic journey. As 70% of trade moves through our ports, clarity of vision and strength in execution are critical. India’s rise as the world’s 4th largest economy is a result of decisive leadership and visionary thinking, values embodied by JNPA’s team under the leadership of its Chairman. This is the spirit of Viksit Bharat.”

Secretary, Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Shri T K Ramachandran, IAS expressed, “JNPA has stood out as a shining example in the port sector. Aligned with the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s Amrit Kaal vision, JNPA has ticked every box — from capacity enhancement and sustainability to digitalisation and port-led industrialisation. With 100% PPP cargo handling, the upcoming Vadhvan Port, the SEZ, and international linkages like IMEEC and the digital corridor, JNPA truly represents a safe, smart, secure, and sustainable model for the future of Indian ports.”

Chairperson, JNPA, and CMD, VPPL , Shri Unmesh Sharad Wagh, IRS said, “At 36, JNPA stands not at a destination, but at a point of deeper responsibility. Our next phase will demand sharper systems thinking, faster decision cycles, and closer alignment with global trade dynamics. We are designing a port ecosystem that can anticipate, adapt, and absorb the complexity of modern logistics. This anniversary is a chance to look back briefly, but more importantly, to recalibrate for the long road ahead.”

The event featured the unveiling of the JNPA 36 Years Journey Coffee Table Book, chronicling the port’s evolution and achievements since its inception. A special screening of the JNPA Corporate Film showcased the port’s infrastructure, innovations, sustainability efforts, and its vision for the future.

The event also witnessed the signing of two significant Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) under the Vadhvan Port Skilling Program. The first MoU, signed between VPPL and Sahyadri Farms, aims to develop the skills of rural youth, farmers, and farm produce companies through targeted training. This collaboration seeks to strengthen the agri-logistics value chain and prepare local communities for emerging opportunities. The second MoU, signed between VPPL and Rural Enhancers Projects Pvt. Ltd., outlines their intent to participate in the development of a terminal at Vadhvan Port for handling container, bulk, and liquid cargo. It also includes plans to build supporting infrastructure for marine services, intermodal connectivity, and ensure ecosystem sustainability through digital solutions, robust IT infrastructure, and structured manpower training and skill development. These partnerships reflect JNPA’s vision of building Vadhvan Port as a modern, inclusive, and future-ready maritime gateway. Director General of Shipping, Shri Shyam Jagganathan, IAS; Chief Commissioner of Customs, Mumbai, Shri Vimal Kumar Srivastava, IRS; Chairman, IWAI, Shri Vijay Kumar, IAS; Chairman, Allcargo Group, Shri Shashi Kiran Shetty; MD, JM Baxi Group, Shri Dhruv Kotak; industry professionals; and JNPA employees were present at the event.

Romell Group Champions Smart Cluster Redevelopment in Sync with Housing Policy 2025

Mumbai, May 22, 2025: In a significant step aligned with the recently unveiled Housing Policy 2025, which strongly encourages cluster redevelopment across Mumbai, Romell Group has announced the launch of its flagship cluster redevelopment project – United VI – in Andheri West. This ambitious initiative brings together four ageing societies comprising six buildings: Gurukripa CHSL, Blue Haven CHSL, Ekveera CHSL, and Sunder Park C&D CHSL. Together, these buildings span an amalgamated area of approximately 6,800 square meters.

With all six buildings over 51 years old, the structures had become increasingly unsafe for residents and were no longer financially viable for redevelopment on an individual basis. The consumed FSI stands at nearly 1.5 times the plot area, further complicating any standalone redevelopment attempts. Recognizing the need for collective action and smart planning, Romell Group stepped forward to offer a holistic solution that not only revitalizes infrastructure but also enhances the overall quality of life for the community.

Under the United VI plan, every resident will receive up to 50 percent additional space in their new homes, complete with modern layouts and premium fittings tailored to their preferences. Romell Group will also bear the cost of stamp duty and GST for the entire area, including the additional space, ensuring no financial burden on the residents. The transition process will be made seamless with full legal assistance and complete relocation support provided by the Group. In a major benefit, the land will be converted from leasehold to freehold, offering long-term ownership value. Every new home will also include a dedicated car parking space.

Sustainability is central to this redevelopment, with the project integrating eco-friendly features such as solar panels and a sewage treatment plant (STP). The redevelopment will also include landscaped gardens, green open spaces, a clubhouse, gymnasium, and rooftop recreational areas, delivering a rare blend of nature and luxury in one of Mumbai’s busiest suburbs.

Speaking at the launch, Mr. Domnic Romell, Director of Romell Group, said, “United VI is more than just a redevelopment – it’s about community, progress, and building a better future together. As Franklin D. Roosevelt once said, ‘The point in history at which we stand is full of promise and danger. The world will either move forward toward unity and widely shared prosperity — or it will move apart.’ This redevelopment embodies that spirit—to come together, to move forward, and to create a vibrant, inclusive future for all.”

The announcement event was attended by Mr. Domnic Romell and the architectural team from Romell Group, Mr. Vivek Savnekar from Project Management Consultants M/s. Shilp Associates and the legal advisory team from M/s. Solicis Lex Advisory. Key representatives from all four societies, including their chairpersons, secretaries, and treasurers, were also present to mark this milestone moment.

United VI is not just a redevelopment project—it is a model for the future of Mumbai’s housing landscape. It reflects what’s possible when communities, developers, and policymakers align under a shared vision for safer, smarter, and more sustainable urban living.

However, the central government, in an endeavour to encourage local manufacturing in the country, has announced the Technical Textile Mission, which empowers companies to receive subsidies and start manufacturing. Maharashtra has launched its textile policy, which operates in a zonal format. Zone 1 can help you gain a 45% subsidy, Zone 2 offers 40%, Zone 3 provides 35%, and so on. We have announced Zero-Waste Fashion, which aims to control textile waste by recycling it and converting it into usable materials like carpets. For this, the private sector can benefit from an electricity subsidy of Rs 2 per unit, and Rs 3 per unit for co-operative societies, in addition to the previously mentioned subsidies. In Amravati, the PM Mitra Park will be launched soon, as most of the work is complete, with only final touch-ups pending. I thank the organisers for having me here and wish you all the very best.”

Shri Shashank Chaudhary (IAS), Additional CEO, Invest UP informed: “Under the PM Mitra Scheme, we are developing a mega-integrated textile park near Lucknow, covering 1,000 acres of land. It will be set up under the PPP model, which offers a great opportunity for investors. The state of Uttar Pradesh has been developing new portals for single-window clearance and approvals. We have successfully managed to attract good investors.”

We are honoured to have Invest Uttar Pradesh as our State Partners at this edition and with the kind of innovations on the show floor in denim, fabrics, machinery and more - I am sure visitors have tremendous business opportunities through our platform.”
