" Yahoo , what will they play tonight , Janjeer or Deewar at society ground?. Let's go and reserve our spots at 9 ". We, the children always loved to guess what will be played that night. The whole road would be blocked by the giant white cloth screen tied around two bamboo poles across the road. To hell with the traffic jam. Who cares at night ? and there were hardly any vehicles on that road. Those were the early 80's , when single screen ruled Indian cinema .
Just imagine , if that was the scenario in Mumbai, what would be the situation in rural India. Bollywood is BIG in India as well as abroad . But are we tapping the market real time. How to reach the rural audience who can not afford to pay 100 + rupees for a movie.?
In this ever evolving Digital age , we have solutions to all problems.
