MIT-School of Government Extends Lifeline to Aspiring Leaders: up to 100% Scholarships for Master's in Political Leadership and Government

10 Aug’23, Pune: MIT- School of Government (MIT-SOG), a constituent unit of MIT-World Peace University,  announces up to 100 % Scholarships for their esteemed Master’s Degree Programme in Political Leadership and Government (MPG). By offering scholarships, MIT-SOG aims to promote academic excellence, encourage talent, and foster an equal opportunities environment for students willing to build careers in the sphere of politics and governance. The scholarship policy is open to students enrolling in MIT-SOG's programmes for the Academic Year 2023-2024, and applications will be accepted until the 31st of August.

MA in Political Leadership and Government (MPG) is a comprehensive two-year program designed to provide aspiring leaders with in-depth knowledge in various facets of political leadership, including political strategy, analysis, electoral process, functional politics, international and public relations, NGO management, media, and more. As part of the curriculum, students will have the opportunity to gain hands-on knowledge through two intensive internships, enabling them to apply their learning in real-world scenarios.

To be eligible for the course, applicants must meet the following criteria: a minimum aggregate score of 55% in a 3/4-year Graduation from a UGC-approved University or its equivalent. For candidates belonging to the backward class category in Maharashtra State, a minimum of 45% marks is required.

As part of the scholarship policy, 15% of students can earn a scholarship award of 100%, in addition to this 40% students will be eligible for a 50% scholarship, and another 15% will qualify for a 25% scholarship. Importantly, these opportunities are supplementary to the already existing scholarships: the Dr. Vishwanath Karad Scholarship, MIT-WPU Scholarship I, and MIT-WPU Scholarship II. These scholarships are governed by the terms and conditions specified in the policy. The selection process for MIT-SOG scholarships will be based on merit and/or family income, or a combination of both, and will undergo periodic review and updates as determined by the management.
