~The week-long festival bids adieu with a star-studded closing ceremony~

After a packed week full of amazing movies, workshops and star-studded events the Jio MAMI 20th Mumbai Film Festival with Star has finally come to a close. The festival’s closing ceremony at JW Marriott, was an homage to the path-breaking movies and movie makers who have defined and nurtured the industry over the years. An emotional moment for all cinema lovers across the world, the ceremony honored the timeless movie icon Late Sridevi who left behind a legacy that will stand the test of time as a beacon of inspiration for generations of actors and actresses to come.

Hosted by two of the latest super stars in the Hindi film industry, Vicky Kaushal and Bhumi Pednekar, the star-studded closing ceremony saw Darren Aronofsky, Raj Kumar Rao, Boney Kapoor, Parvathy, Zoya Akhtar, Amyra Dastur, Jim Sarabh, Soha Ali Khan Pataudi, Divyendu Sharma, Yami Gautam, Tanuja Chandra among many others grace the red carpet.

Anupama Chopra, Festival Director – Jio MAMI said “What a season it has been for us! It would not have been possible without the relentless hours of work put in behind the scenes. I’m honored to have been a part of the MAMI team and am grateful to our sponsors for supporting this movie festival. The enthusiasm and energy of movie lovers in Mumbai and around the country will never cease to amaze me and I am overwhelmed by ones who filled the theatres day after day. It is their spirit that pushes us to keep trying harder. I hope that the original founders of the Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival with Star are happy with our work. We hope to keep serving the city, nurturing talent and celebrating stories”
