STEPS TOWARDS SWACHH BHARAT

Mumbai west GST commissionerate organized a "Cleanliness Drive" to clean the Versova Beach as part of the "Swachh Bharat Abhiyan"

“A clean India would be the best tribute India could pay to Mahatma Gandhi on his 150 birth anniversary in 2019,” said Shri Narendra Modi as he launched the Swachh Bharat Mission.

Abiding by the PM of the country Mumbai West GST commissionerate in the guidance and leadership  of the commissioner successfully conducted & participated in the national initiative Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, through conducting cleanliness drive at Versova beach in Mumbai on 28th September, 2017.


The event was conceptualised by Shri Sandeep Puri, commissioner Mumbai west and participation of senior officers was the focus point. Ms manpreet arya and Shri Anoop Sharma and many more deputy and assistant commissioners participated with enthusiasm.

Shri Puri says "This is our country and we should care for it. Through this we have learnt two things- 1. we should practice cleanliness and 2. we alI can make difference to society by contributing our bit. I appreciate every employees’ effort today and congratulate them for such a great accomplishment".

       Among the solutions rolled out is 4G enabled vehicle surveillance kit and 4G enabled stand-alone Outdoor/Indoor cameras 
      The solution will make video surveillance practically seamless for end users

  Videocon Wallcam and Vodafone come together to launch the first of its kind 4G bundled CCTV solution. Among the solutions rolled out include 4G enabled vehicle surveillance kit and stand-alone 4G enabled Outdoor/indoor CCTV cameras, both with a 4G sim slot to support 4G connectivity.

The mobile vehicle surveillance kit consisting of vibration resistant, shock proof and vandal proof CCTV cameras in option of 1.3 & 2 Mega pixel resolution; and vibration resistant Digital video recorder (DVR), can be installed in buses, trucks, trains, cabs/cars etc. The DVR comes equipped with 4G/3G connectivity, GPS (Global positioning system), Wi-fi and option of recording the footage on a Hard-drive and/or SD card. Available in 4 and 8 Channel option, the DVR can accommodate up to 4/8 CCTV cameras as per the requirement.

The stand-alone 4G cameras available in 2MP resolution will be 4G & Wifi enabled. These cameras will also support onboard SD memory of up to 64 GB. Salon India in Mumbai to inspire hairdressers


 A power packed line-up of hair artists took over the Salon stage showcasing some of the newest hair trends for the season ahead


Salon India in congruence with Salon International returned to Mumbai on 18 th and 19 th
September for its second edition and played host to some of India’s most inspirational hair
educators. The show saw over 400 hair professionals visit the show from across the country
to be treated to top class education over two days.



Salon India was conceptualised in 2016 as a hub for hair creativity focused on building a
platform for the hair stylist community to come together to learn from leading educators
about latest trends and skills leaving them inspired to take the best of hair techniques back
to their clients.



Day one started with the inspirational Savio John Pereira leaving the audience spellbound
with sleek and sassy hairdo’s followed by multi-award winner Seema V. Jerajani who
showcased Mastering Updo’s with some sensational avant-garde hairstyles. The day
concluded with Depot artists, Dharmesh Hingorani (DODO), Educational Director and
German Munster, Ambassador, Depot rocking the stage with an exclusive focus on men’s
grooming and styling.

Day two kicked off with Vipul Chudasama launching his Academy Collection- Romance, a
collection that beautifully illustrated the romance between the artist that is the hairdresser
and the canvas that is the hair. The finale for Salon India was a fantastic educational
masterclass from TIGI Creative Director, Ralph Boss and Regional Education Director Andy
Cheong who showcased the latest global cut and colour trends for the upcoming season
including 3 high-drama fantasy looks using TIGI Bed Head’s copyright colour.

TIGI also hosted their Backstage Heroes Hair Competition at Salon India across 7
categories with 31 finalists recognising and rewarding some of the most talented hair talent
from across the country. Judging the competition was an eminent panel of industry leaders;
including Kapil Bhalla, Make-up Artist; Nandita Mahatani, Fashion Designer; Nonita Kalra,
Editor, Harper’s Bazaar; Seema V. Jerajani, Consultant and Educator, Hair and Make-up,
SVJ Academy; Bina Punjani, Art Director, Bina Punjani Salon, Academy and Bridal;
and Apeni George, Hairstylist.

Speaking on the occasion, Ralf Boss, Regional Education Director Tigi (Asia) said, “It
has been an absolute delight to witness the young talent in the Indian hairstyling industry.
Salon India brings in a wave of new talent to lead the growing industry in India along with
some cutting-edge styles for the upcoming season and it has been an absolute pleasure to
be a part of this moment.”

be part of the most sought hair show Salon India. The show was spectacular right from
arrangements to the audience. It was overwhelming response from hundreds of hairdressers

Author Manoj Jain launches his new publication Ramona, a sequel to Balraj

Manoj Jain, the author of The BNO and THC, is all set for the release of his new publication Ramona, a sequel to his previous book Balraj. While Balraj was a man who left behind his family and other worldly possessions to fulfill his spiritual journey, Ramona deals with the repercussions and consequences of that very action and how the world he left behind changed completely. 

Ramona is a story about a woman whose husband deserted her to embark on his own spiritual journey. Clueless and heartbroken, Ramona has two choices- give up and become a shell of who she was or rediscover herself, changing her life in the process.

This short novel delves into the world of a woman who has to face the questions and accusations of the society as well as her own emotions and feelings.

Manoj Jain weaves a thought-provoking tale of three journeys for Ramona and the reader- the first, of a married woman and her introspection, the second, of Ramona and how she remains strong and develops once Inder leaves and the third, of a physical journey to the mystical city of Varanasi to immerse the ashes of the dead
RAMONA is a short story that started as an addendum to BALRAJ. However, it became an independent book that makes one realize how a change in circumstances can change personalities of people and why people behave the way they do. 

Manoj holds a degree from IIM Ahmedabad as well as one in psychology, which explains his interest in people, their relationships, reasons for their behavior and how circumstances shape them as a person. 
During the release of Balraj, Manoj Jain expressed his willingness to explore more corners of everyday life and he has done just that with his new release Ramona, which is intriguing and leaves the reader with a sense of fulfillment.
